Building a City-wide LoRaWAN Network and Environmental Monitoring System
As a team of technology enthusiasts, we set ourselves the goal of modernizing our school and city by implementing intelligent solutions. Our flagship project is building our own LoRaWAN (Long Range Wide Area Network) network.
What is LoRaWAN?
It is a network protocol for the Internet of Things (IoT) that enables low-power devices to communicate over very long distances. We managed to create the largest IoT project in the region, covering the entire Białystok and surrounding towns (including Supraśl, Stanisławowo).
Smart SEZO Sensors
Using the potential of our network, we have installed advanced SEZO sensors in the school and urban space. They allow real-time monitoring of key environmental parameters such as:
- •Temperature and humidity
- •Atmospheric pressure
- •Air pollution level (IAQ – Indoor Air Quality)
- •Sound intensity (noise)
